SCOTT ROBERT ECKBERG
Scott was born and raised in the state of Minnesota. He has always had great interest in art, but he had never taken any training until college. Bethany College in Mankato, Minnesota was his first exposure which ignited the flame that followed him to the University of Minnesota. He did not follow his passion after college until 1998, when he decided to further his training as an artist.
Minnesota River School of Fine Art was his first step forward, which encouraged him to follow a traditional approach and painting from life. Next, combining his love with his passion to travel, he takes his first workshop with Jim Wilcox in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Landscape painting from life became his focus by continuing to study with some of the finest plein air painters in the country. The list includes, Scott Christensen, Richard McDaniel, Jay Moore, Ralph Oberg, Matt Smith, Skip Whitcomb, and Dan Young.
